Prof.Norbert Lechner

Norbert Lechner, Prof. Emeritus, Architect, and LEED AP is an expert in energy responsive architectural design emphasizing solar passive architecture and daylighting. He authored the book ‘Heating, Cooling, and Lighting: Design Methods for Architects. For more than 30 years, Norbert taught various courses in Auburn University. Norbert also helped found BEEnow, or Built Environment Education now, a program to certify schools that include low energy design in their architecture curriculum.

Alfredo Fernández González Alfredo Fernandez-Gonzalez is a Professor of Architecture and Director of the Natural Energies Advanced Technologies (NEAT) Laboratory at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Alfredo’s research interests include sustainable development, rated water harvesting, treatment and reuse systems. Alfredo is a lifetime member of the American Solar Energy Society.

She has completed her Masters in Architecture from Architectural Association School of Architecture London, United Kingdom

Mr. Sabu Francis (Sabu Francis & Associates)

Mr. Sabu Francis is a multi-faceted architect from India. He graduated from IIT Kharagpur, 1984. He won the special award for research in architecture for his theories on a useful mathematical representation of architecture. His office (SFA) has designed and executed several important projects in and around Navi Mumbai, India. It was one of the main commissioned architects of Konkan Railway Corporation. He has been one of the forerunners of concept of Building Information Modeling (BIM) .He developed one of the first BIM applications, TAD.

Prof.Pradyumna Vyas acquired Masters in Industrial Design from IIT, Bombay and was conferred with an Honorary Master of Arts Degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, United Kingdom. Prof.Vyas has more than 33 years of professional and teaching experience in different spheres of design. He is the member secretary of the India Design Council and is the Director of National Institute of design. World Education Congress, 2015 conferred the award for Outstanding Contribution to Education to Mr. Vyas

Shri. K K Muhammed (Retd. Regional Director ASI)

K K Muhammed

Shri Muhammed K.K, retired as Regional Director (North) from the Archaeological Survey of India and is a well-known Archaeologist who participated in the explorations and excavations both inside and outside in the country. For his excellent works Mr. Muhammed has three International Awards, five National Awards, one state Award and three Public Awards to his credit. In the year 2019 he has been awarded with ‘Padmashri’ by Govt of India

Smt. Meenakshi Singh (Associate Professor in IICD)

Meenakshy Singh

Meenakshi Singh, Former Dean Academics and currently a Professor at the Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD) trained as a faculty at the National Institute of Design ( NID ) Ahmedabad in 1992 after which taught at NID in Textile and Apparel Design before moving to IICD as one of the founding faculty members. Her interest lies in design education and innovation at grass root level. She has been a visiting faculty and has been involved at advisory level at various design institutes in the country like NIFT, Pearl Academy, Banasthali Vidyapeeth to name a few and has done several projects with the Khadi Sector, Government organisations and NGOs. She has also worked in the craft retail sector with Fabindia, developed a museum shop at the MSMS II City Palace Museum, Jaipur and revamped Rajasthali- the Government of Rajasthan's craft retail outlet in Jaipur. Mentoring Craft startups and social enterprises working on social innovation has been an area of special interest for her. She teaches Traditional Textiles, Surface Design, Sustainable Design and other core design courses at IICD.
